How Gigmetry Makes Money

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Transparency is core to our mission. Here’s a clear breakdown of how Gigmetry is funded and how we make money.

Current Revenue Model

Phase 1: Advertising (AdSense)

Gigmetry displays contextual advertisements through Google AdSense. These ads are:

  • Served based on page content, not user browsing history (unless you opt into personalized ads)
  • Clearly marked as advertisements
  • Non-invasive — we do not use pop-ups, interstitial ads, or auto-playing video ads

Ad revenue allows us to keep all content free and accessible to everyone.

Future Revenue Streams

As Gigmetry grows, we may introduce additional revenue streams. We commit to being transparent about each one before launch:

Phase 2: Affiliate Partnerships (Planned)

We may include affiliate links to products and services that we genuinely believe provide value to gig workers (e.g., tax software, banking products, bookkeeping tools). When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Our affiliate commitments:

  • We only recommend products we have researched and believe are useful to our audience
  • Affiliate relationships will never influence our editorial content or recommendations
  • Every article with affiliate links will include a clear disclosure
  • We will not accept affiliate partnerships for products we wouldn’t use ourselves

Phase 3: Premium Tools / App (Planned)

We may develop premium interactive tools or a companion mobile app. Any paid features will be clearly separated from free content, and pricing will be transparent.

What We Will NOT Do

  • No paid placements disguised as editorial content
  • No sponsored articles that compromise editorial independence
  • No selling user data — ever
  • No deceptive advertising (fake urgency, misleading claims, etc.)
  • No paywalls on essential educational content — our guides and articles will always remain free

Editorial Independence

Our revenue sources never influence our content. We maintain strict separation between:

  • Editorial decisions (what we write and recommend)
  • Business decisions (how we generate revenue)

For more details on how we maintain content quality and independence.

Questions?

If you have questions about our monetization practices, please contact us at [email protected]

We will update this page as our revenue model evolves. Transparency isn’t a one-time commitment — it’s an ongoing practice.
